OGUM

God of war and iron

Ogum is the Orixá of iron, he is the blacksmith, the warrior, and the inventor. The abundance of human activities is associated with Ogum. Professions like smith, technician, driver, and butcher are closely connected with him.
But he is also the Orixá of riot, of violence, he is the unpredictable. Accidents with cars, airplanes, railroad trains, and other machines are interpreted as a sign of unhappiness of Ogum.
His directness is taken for arrogance. Ogum can be aggressive and energetic, sometimes having real crises of hate. In a fight he feels no pity, therefore he already killed his own people twice without intention. His home is nowhere and he likes travelling spontaneously without destination.

His color is blue, his symbol the sword, and his stone the diamond (the word diamond is greek and stands for: the invincible.) Ogum lives in iron, war, motor streets, railroad tracks. His day is Tuesday.
